Portraits

1990 — present

A selection of portraits made over the years — some formal, some from the flow of life. The subjects range from respected elders and teachers to friends and neighbors to strangers who allowed me a picture.

Sonam Zoksang · On this collection
A black-and-white portrait of an older Tibetan man with long white hair drawn back, a full white mustache and beard, and a steady, weathered gaze. He wears a tweed jacket over a white shirt; two malas hang at his neck, one threaded with a turquoise gau pendant.
Portrait of an Elder · India, India · 2015
